Rules

Basic aims of the Photographic Rally

To encourage people to get “out there” on their motorbike(s) & have some element of fun, travel & adventure. “Out there” will – ideally – be a bit off the beaten track &/or feature an unusual, historical or picturesque subject.

An interest in photography is not essential – however it just might add an additional dimension to the event.

The event, in the context of motorcycle riding, is not competitive. Badges are awarded for photographing a preset number of locations. Special awards will be given for best set of photos, best photo, oldest bike, smallest bike etc.

The Rules

Be careful & do enjoy yourself – it’s about having fun.

All rules & regulations as relevant to traffic &/or trespass apply to all participants at all times.

The organizers accept no liability for damage or loss however they might arise – you take part at your own risk.

There’s no need to pre-register; the minimum accepted entry is 12 locations for a Bronze award.

A Silver award is given for 18 – 23 locations & a Gold award for all 24 subjects.

A photograph of the nominated subject is required with your bike visible – you are encouraged to be creative.

If a pillion passenger is entered they must be clearly visible in the photograph & an additional €10 entry fee paid.

You may use as many motorcycles as you choose & visit the locations in any order; as your prejudices dictate.

The closing date for entry is Nov 15th 2012 – late entries will not be accepted; you have over 9 months!

In the context of motorcycle riding the event is strictly not competitive.

Photos MUST be printed (they do look miles better in an album) & on a disc. Photos by e-mail are not accepted.

Digital shots (on disc) MUST be in JPEG format only – no PowerPoint or other complex slide show formats please.

Post your entry to the address on the entry form. Your entry should include:
